Questions

  1. What advice would you give to new bloggers?

Persistence is key. I’m relatively new to the world of blogging and the one things I’ve noticed and have been advised by everyone is to be persistent. That means if you are to aiming at making your blog an important part of your life then you need to give it sufficient time. Get the content in and express your thoughts. You will eventually find a point of focus and that will help guide the direction you want your blog to move in.

  1. What is a goal that you are currently working toward?

I’m currently working towards a healthy lifestyle for myself and my little one. We travel a lot and I’ve noticed how dependent we’ve become on fast food which is not good for us at all. So we’re working to cut down on outside food and focus more on a well rounded nutritious meal. My toddler is resisting but baby steps. We’re definitely working on that.

  1. What do you do to relax after a hard day?

To be honest, I love watching monologues by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah. That just turns my erratic brain into a relaxed pile of pudding. I need the laughs 😊

  1. What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I’m actually a seasoned consumer behavior specialist who gave up her career for my little penguin-like toddler. Bet you thought I ran around cleaning poop and creating food for a picky toddler who hates everything huh? You’re still correct though!

  1. What is one nice thing someone has done for you recently?

Flu season is hot and heavy in our town so we caught it too. I just got it for the second time this year so my friend popped in and took her little one and my toddler out to a play area just so I can get an hour’s worth of sleep. That’s like the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. I hope she does it again 😉

  1. What is your dream job?

Oh I would love to work and travel with a company that is toddler friendly. Imagine the possibilities of having a workplace that allows kids to be near their parents while having fun with other kids. And have the same facility wherever the parent has to travel. Man, no mom would ever have to quit her job ever again!

  1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Islands! Hawaii to be specific. I’ve never been but I would love to go and relax by the ocean. Soak in that wonderful sun and swim in that sparkly warm water. Bliss!

  1. What is your biggest accomplishment?

That’s a toughie. I guess it definitely has to be my toddler. Probably the best thing that’s happened to me. Learning about a tiny human being in a book or tv is so different from actually witnessing it every day. It’s incredible the things they pick up and how they evolve into distinctive personalities. To date, my biggest accomplishment by my biggest accomplishment (the toddler), is cleaning up her toys after the day is done. Yasss!

  1. What is your favorite thing about yourself?

My ability to consume caffeine. It’s safe to say that it no longer affects me but I still love to drink it in any form so I have nothing that stops me from having it. Ha!

  1. What is one thing that always makes you laugh?

When someone asks “When are you having another child”. Oh my, I can feel the laughter erupting from within *wipes away tears*

  1. Who inspires you

I don’t have any one single person. I take inspiration from multiple people. Lately, it’s been the women who have taken up the strength to start speaking up against the broad patriarchy in our society. I like people who are strong enough to take a stand against injustice. I hope I become bold enough to ensure my daughter grows up in a world that gives her and every child an equal opportunity to prosper.
